Antibiotics are an invaluable resource. To control or limit the emergence of drug-resistant organisms, efforts should be exercised in all fronts of antibiotic use under the One Health approach. Rational use of antibiotics to treat infections is an important element in fighting against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Antibiotic stewardship programs (ASP) are there to achieve this goal.
